Message Series
The Book of Jude
Welcome to our new message series at Paul Community Church, where we will walk verse by verse through the powerful and urgent book of Jude. Though only one chapter long, Jude delivers a bold and necessary message—a warning to believers about spiritual deception, false teaching, and the call to stand firm in the truth. Written by the half-brother of Jesus, Jude originally intended to write about the joy of our shared salvation, but instead was compelled by the Holy Spirit to sound the alarm: the Church must contend for the faith.
Each week, we will explore Jude’s striking examples and vivid illustrations drawn from both the Old and New Testaments, uncovering their deep spiritual relevance for us today. Jude reminds us that God’s mercy and love are never separated from His justice and holiness. We will unpack themes such as spiritual discernment, the danger of compromise, the marks of true character, and the assurance of being kept by God’s grace.
In a world filled with distractions, distortions, and division, Jude calls the Church to wake up, stay grounded in Scripture, and build one another up in faith. We are invited not just to believe, but to be bold—standing in love, walking in truth, and living with eternal purpose. Join us each week as we seek to become people who are rooted, ready, and resilient in the face of spiritual battle. Together, let us respond to Jude’s timeless challenge: “Keep yourselves in the love of God… and contend for the faith once delivered to the saints.”
Contending for the Faith
Jude issues a clear and urgent call for believers to stand firm in truth and actively defend the gospel against distortion and deceit.
The Danger of False Teaching
Using bold warnings and biblical examples, Jude exposes the subtle and destructive influence of false teachers who lead others astray with pride and immorality.
God’s Power to Preserve
Though spiritual battles rage, Jude assures us that God is able to keep us from falling and will present us blameless with great joy at the coming of Christ.
