Make Way for New Joy
Join us this week as we reflect on our commitment to God, on forging a new path not holding on to the past, but embracing God’s blessings for the future..
This week’s message reminds us that God is not just the God of the past—He is the God of the present and the future. Through the words of Isaiah, we are reminded that God has the power to make a path through the sea, to silence enemies, and to bring life to dry, barren places. But even more, we are called to stop living in the past—whether clinging to victories or shackled by failures—and instead open our eyes to the new thing God is doing right now.
In the Gospel of John, Mary’s bold act of worship—anointing Jesus with costly oil—shows us what it means to prepare our lives for God’s work with wholehearted devotion. Her act was extravagant, misunderstood, and deeply prophetic. It teaches us that we cannot afford to wait to honor Christ, and we must never be ashamed of passionate, sacrificial love.
Together, these scriptures show us that God is preparing something new and beautiful in us. He is calling us to participate—not passively observe. But to step into new joy, we must prepare the way. That means releasing old burdens, investing in our relationship with God, and living with intentional, surrendered hearts that shine His light in the world.
Challenge Statement
God is doing something new in your life—will you make room for it?
Let go of what holds you back. Stop living in yesterday. Today, commit to giving God 100%—your time, your energy, your heart. Prepare the way with worship, with surrender, and with faith. Step boldly into the path He is clearing for you, and make way for the joy only He can bring.
God is doing a new thing—let go of the past to receive His fresh work in your life.
God has the power to make a way through every obstacle—His past faithfulness proves He can handle your present challenges.
(Isaiah 43:16–17)
True worship requires wholehearted devotion, even when others do not understand.
Let go of the past and make room for the new life God is creating in you—His joy begins where your surrender starts.
(Isaiah 43:18–19, 21)
Now is the time to prepare your heart and life for the joy and purpose God is bringing.
Worship like Mary—with passion, sacrifice, and bold love—because Jesus deserves your best, not your leftovers.
(John 12:1–8)
